Narayani Namastute Global Durga Puja Excellence Awards — Our journey...!!

Launched in 2018 in Delhi-NCR, Narayani Namastute began as a heartfelt salute to Shakti and the community spirit of Durga Puja. We soon stepped into West Bengal, the festival’s heartland, and then expanded state by state as more regions embraced the movement. Today, the Awards proudly cover 15+ Indian states and reach audiences across 10+ countries.

With Kolkata’s Durga Puja inscribed by UNESCO on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, our mission gained a powerful global context—celebrating creativity with responsibility, heritage with innovation. We recognize Puja committees that blend devotion with design, safety with sustainability, inclusivity, green practices, social impact, and digital engagement.

Eight seasons on, Narayani Namastute stands as a global showcase of Bengali pride, honouring the artists, volunteers, and visionaries who keep the spirit of Durga Puja alive—and carry India’s living heritage to the world.

Introducing the Three-Chapter Award Framework

NARAYANI NAMASTUTE-Season 8 Onwards

As Narayani Namastute steps into its 8th glorious season of the Global Durga Puja Excellence Awards, we are proud to present a redefined award structure that truly reflects the cultural depth, national spread, and global pride of Durga Puja.

From Season 8 onwards, the Shera “Category” Awards will be recognized across three prestigious chapters, each standing tall with equal honor:

Bengal Excellence
(National Heritage Chapter)

Honoring the cultural heartland of Durga Puja, Bengal — the epicenter where tradition, artistry, and devotion converge. This chapter celebrates the benchmark of creativity and heritage that inspires the entire nation.

National Excellence
(Beyond Bengal Chapter)

Celebrating the spirit of Durga Puja across India, outside Bengal. This chapter recognizes the communities who have carried Bengal’s tradition beyond its borders, nurturing innovation, inclusivity, and cultural pride in every corner of the nation.

Global Excellence
(Overseas Chapter)

Honoring the international communities who embody the spirit of Durga Puja worldwide. As cultural ambassadors, they uphold and share India’s intangible heritage on the global stage, uniting the diaspora with devotion and creativity.
